Unique Memorabilia to Collect At Disneyland

I don’t think there have been any official studies, but Disneyland has to be on the top of the list for most scrapbooked places. If you’re the memory keeping type (whether you throw things in a box or plan out an entire album) I thought I’d give you some ideas of things to collect while you’re at Disneyland so you can make a little list or keep your eyes open for more ideas when you do go!

First let’s start with the obvious things you might have already thought of:

• tickets
• park maps (these change often so they’re fun to collect)
• daily schedule
• room keys
• napkins/food packaging
• receipts
• tags from purchased souvenirs
• Fastpass tickets if you don’t end up using them for some reason
• character autographs
• ride photos (you can get free ones emailed to you from Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters)
• Autopia driver’s license – you can find these when you exit Autopia!
• celebration buttons – get these at City Hall or Guest Services
• squished pennies – for just $.51 these are fun to collect!

Memorabilia ideas you may not have thought about:

• buy a postcard and mail it to yourself or a friend from Disneyland
• Get a prescription from Shrunken Ned at South Sea Traders in Adventureland
• Get a fortune from Fortune Red in New Orleans Square near the Pieces of Eight shop (not inside of it but in a hallway near there)
• Have your fortune told by Esmerelda on Main Street
• The boys discovered these Star Wars name tags written in Aurebesh at a little shop in Tomorrowland. They are a fun souvenir and I got to keep the paper as memorabilia!
• If you ask super nicely at the end of your Jungle Cruise, and they have some available, you might be able to get a map of the cruise you just took!
• At California Adventure be sure to stop by the Chamber of Commerce (to the left as you walk in and past the first set of shops) and pick up a copy of The Buena Vista Bugle – it’s free!
• Another favorite is to visit the Animation Academy at California Adventure. It’s a nice little break and SO much fun for little and big kids. You’ll get to take home everyone’s drawings.
•  You can’t bring home your favorite foods, but you can take photos of them!
• You’ll obviously snap your kids’ faces and favorite moments as well.
• If you do buy souvenirs like trading pins or, my favorite, Mickey Ears, take a photo of them when you get home on a white board or table, then use that photo as a piece of memorabilia itself!
